About The Founders
The New England Epicurean Society is an exclusive dining club which infuses international taste makers and chefs each month to create the ultimate epicurean experience. Private events incorporate guest speakers, lecturers, book signings, blindfold tastings, charities, and masquerades. It's not just about the food, it's a full-bodied journey of the five senses.

Founder and Executive Director Torrey Oates lends her cultural threads of knowledge of fine dining, travel, and longstanding interest in the philosophy and teachings of Epicurus. Torrey has spent several years researching the underground culinary world and high end tastings to create the first epicurean society of New England. While impressed with the New York/New England restaurant scene, Ms. Oates desired something more exclusive, that would provide members with a leisurely yet educational dining experience unmatched in the region. "The sky is the limit and the possibilities are endless". Events are already in the works for summer 2010.

Director of Development, Tyler Moynihan joined the New England Epicurean Society early on while securing the Museum of the GIlded Age, Ventfort Hall venue for the Artisian Salt and Old World Olive Oil Tasting in June 2009. Based in Miami, Florida, Tyler brings fresh ideas and clients to the table from afar. Tyler has extensive experience creating more from less and works as a nonprofit event planner.
